I'm Home

What an incredible time I had back home visiting the kids!  We celebrated my oldest daughter, Heather's birthday and had so much fun!  Good food, family, laughter....what more could you ask for!  Then we went to South Padre Island and spent 4 wonderful days!  The weather didn't cooperate for me to take the family photos I wanted of the girls and their families but, hopefully next time!  An ocean view, the soothing sounds of the waves breaking! Ahhhhhhhhh......I can close my eyes and still hear the sounds.  To me there is no more tranquil place to be!  Ok.....time to catch up a little on posting my layouts.  I'll hopefully be posting some projects I'm working on, soon!

For now, here are 2 LO's using Susan Godfrey's newest kit release (Jurassic Fun).   This is such a cute kit and it's huge!  Lots of cute dinosaurs, but it isn't limiting.  As you can see you can design cute  layouts with all the other cute embellishments!

I love these photos of Kaiden!  I took these while they were here visiting us in CC.  He was brave enough to climb up the side of the fort thingy....but, afraid to walk on the slatted boards!  It took grandma lots of prodding to get him to walk across them.

This is one of my granddaughters, Makayla.  These photos were taken on Grandparent's Day (Sept. 12, 2010).  She was being silly, but cooperating fully with having her pictures taken which is a bit unusual!  I hope her willingness to pose continues!  As you can see, the kit is very versatile and can be used without any of the cute dino's and is definitely not just a kit for boys!

One last LO From Today

Here is one last LO from today.  It's my beautiful baby girl (ok...my youngest daughter, who is now a grown woman), Jessica.  I used a gorgeous kit by JKCreations called Diopside Chic.  I love the deep dark colors, the black and the dark greens!  I think they are perfect for b/w photos (which I am very fond of!).

I finished 2 LO's using Susan Godfrey's Berry Lemonade Kit.  It's an adorable, girly kit!  I had lots of fun using this one!  I am so blessed that I have been given the opportunity to work with some wonderfully creative designers!  Here is my first LO using my granddaughter, Madison.

Busy, Busy, Busy......

What a busy day, but I'm loving it!  I got accepted to another designer's CT team!  Susan Godfrey has some beautiful  digital scrapbooking goodies!!!!!!!!!  I'll be showing lots of her stuff here.  I have already created 2 LOs for her using a kit she has coming out on the 20th....stay tuned for those!  I'm working on a LO using a kit called Berry Lemonade right now and will hopefully be able to share that later today!

Meanwhile, I have something that I created with JKCreations-Solitude Kit.  What a stunning kit!  And it's huge! And.....all her stuff is 40% off now to celebrate her daughter's birthday!

This is a photo of my granddaughter, Madison, that was taken on Grandparent's Day this past Sunday!  She has lost lots of her baby teeth and her Mommy kept telling her to smile with her mouth closed!  *lol*  Of course Grandma had to get those toothless photos as well, and am sure you will be seeing those!  SOON!

Lots to do.....

Happy Hump Day ya'll!  I can't believe it's Wednesday already!  Time goes by wayyyy too quickly when you are enjoying life!  I have so much to be thankful for!  I have a wonderful family!  I get to spend time doing what I love most, taking care of things at home AND designing and creating!  I get to go see the kids this weekend!  Yippeeeeeeeeee!  It's been a month since I've seen most of them!  That is the longest I've been away!  I can't wait to see 'em and feel all those hugs!  Of course, it means LOTS of photos!  Ooooooooooo, and the celebration of my oldest's birthday!  It's hard to believe that she will be 34 yrs old!  It seems like only yesterday that I first held her in my arms!  Now, she's grown into a beautiful, loving woman, daugher, sister, wife, mother, teacher, ss teacher, and friend.  I honestly don't know how she does all she does, but...she not only does it...she does it with a willing heart!  Ok.....time to get busy today!  I have some stuff to create!  See ya, soon..........

Wow....there are lots of goodies coming out!  I can finally post a few more LO's that I've done, since they are now available for sale.  I am blessed to be able to design for 2 very creative, talented designers (Danimoy Designs and JKCreations).   When I think back to 2 weeks ago, I was too afraid to even respond to a CT call!  Thank goodness for fellow scrappers/friends who encouraged me to just give it a try!  Anywho.....here are some more LOs!

Sweet Little Monsters

G'morning everyone!  Happy Monday!  It's a new day...it's a good day!  I can finally show you all a LO I completed using Danimoy Designs latest kit-Sweet Little Monsters.  I used my littlest, sweetest monster to scrap about......Little Xyler!

Totally Surprised!

WOW!  I was totally surprised today!  I was really sad that I couldn't be with my grandkids today, but one of my daughters (Crystal) and her hubby (Don) drove up from Los Fresnos (about 2.5 hrs) to take Kerry and I out to lunch for Grandparent's Day!   I  had a horrible headache all day and was doing laundry and not planning on going anywhere.  Kerry finally told me I needed to shower and get dressed and go with him to buy an Android Pad.  I have to confess I wasn't thrilled about the idea, but ...loving my husband I showered and got dressed and just as I was coming out of the restroom I literally ran right into Makayla (my 8 yr old granddaughter) and there behind her were the others and Crystal and Don!  What a wonderful surprise!!!!  We went to Catfish Charlie's and had great food, and wonderful service and a nice time just relaxing and laughing and talking!  We didn't get to spend much time together as they had to leave after about 4 hrs, but they really made me happy!  I am sooo blessed to have the family I do!  I didn't get any digiscrapping done today....but, will make up for it tomorrow!

Happy Grandparent's Day!

Today, is Grandparents Day, and it's the first one I have been away from my grandkids.  I first became a grandma in 1996 with the birth of my first grandson, Dylan (13), then came....Michael (10), Makayla (8), Kaylee (7), Madison (7), Kaiden (3) and lastly....Xyler (1).  I love my grandkids sooooooooooo much and wish I could be there with them today, but....I will be home to see them next weekend!  Today, I'll just try to keep busy and work on some LOs.  I hope all you grandparents out there have a very special day!  And for those of you who aren't grandparents, make sure you remind your parent/parents that you are blessed to have them as grandparents to your children!  A few words can mean so much!

It's a New Day!

It's a new day!  I got a decent nights sleep!  Could have been better, but...at least I slept!  I have several LOs that I need to upload, but am kinda behind a little right now!  (Imagine that!)  Anyway, I missed Connie Prince's Speed Scrap last night and I was sooo looking forward to it, but I just completed the LO with the instructions that were given.  I am very happy with it and wanted to share it here.   I'll be back a little later to share some more with ya'll!  I hope you're all having a great weekend!

Not a Great Day.....

Today, was just not a good day!  It started off terrible (didn't sleep at all last night).  Tossed and turned and even got up a few times and tried just surfing the internet and just never could shut my mind off enough to get to sleep.  Then had to deal with another very serious issue (thank God it was taken care of!).  Spent several hours getting errands taken care of and buying groceries.  Now, it's almost 7:30 and I haven't even downloaded a kit today, much less made any LOs.  I did finish several yesterday, thoug, and will post them later.  For now, I'm gonna get off here and catch up on a little email and then hopefully get a good night's sleep so I can get busy in the morning!

Another LO for JKCreations

Here is another LO I just completed for JKCreations.  It was for the September Theme Challenge at Stuff to Scrap (the theme was beginnings).  I used a photo of one of my daughters, (Amber & her husband, Kike and their little boy, Kaiden).She's actually very pregnant in this photo with their second little boy, Xyler).  It was the beginning of a family.....

Happy Thursday!  After a rough start today (hubby spilled a cup of coffee into my keyboard, thank goodness it still works,  and all over my desk) things are cleaned up and I've been scrapping.  I've already finished 3 LOs today.  I've gotten 2 finished for JKCreations and one for Danimoy Designs.  I can't post the 2 for JK since they are for new kits not to be release till later this month, but will post as soon as I can.  The one I did for Danimoy is an older kit of hers and it is to follow.....

Oh my GOSH! Goodbye headache!!!!!!!!!

Ooooooooooh my goodness!  I just got some exciting news!  Last night I posted about finding a designer that was looking for members of her CT and I just heard back that I was accepted!!!!!!!!  WOW!!!!!  Her designs are incredible and perfect for scrapping all my grandkids!  I am now officially a part of JKCreations Creative Team!  And guess what....with this great news....no more headache!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Ok....I'm off to go sign up in her CT forum!  G'nite all and be expecting lots of  photos of upcoming LO's!

End of a Long Day!

This day is finally coming to an end!  What a long day!  I had to deal with some personal stuff that took way too much time and caused lots of frustration, but, hopefully it's taken care of now.  I didn't get much digi stuff done today. But, I did manage to make Kerry a chocoflan cake.  I thought after a stressful day at work it would be a nice surprise!

After dealing with so much today I got a horrible headache and it just won't seem to go away.  I've taken ibuprofen and lastly tylenol and my head is still throbbing.  I thought maybe it would ease up and I could get at least one more LO finished or at least started, but......don't think I'm gonna be able to.  Oh well....there is always tomorrow and hopefully I'll get rid of this whopper headache!

New Digi Site

I was looking through the CT calls at DigiShopTalk and checked out a few shops of some of the designers looking for CT members and found a designer I fell in love with JKCreations (Jolly Kids Creations).  She has some awesome digi goodies!  I purchased a few last night and signed up for their forums and already did my first challenge there!  (OK, I actually purchased 6 kits.  Some from other designers there as well  :P, but they were only $2.00 each!)  There is some amazing talent there!  I think I am really going to spend a lot of time there.  Stuff to Scrap (Stufftoscrap.com) is the name of the shop.  Here is the LO I did last night for their temate challenge.....It's not using one of JK Creations kits (I'm working on one right now!) Will post later!

What a Surprise!

Wow....woke up this morning and had tons of rain (which I love!) and some wind!  It seems that the tropical storm that blew into the Brownsville area decided to pay us a visit.  We got about 4-5 inches of rain and some cooler weather! Cooler is always better!  I am soooo ready for the hot weather to disappear!  I did a few more LOs that I'll share.......

Enjoying my Labor Day!

What a gorgeous Monday!  It's Labor Day and it's raining!  I love it!  I can enjoy watching the rain outside my window by my desk and spend some time scrapping some photos and hopefully get started on my granddaughter, Kaylee's birthday invitations! I finished a couple of LO's last night and will post one of them. The other is using a kit from DaniMoy that is coming out on Tuesday the 7th!  I hope that ya'll have a wonderful day!  Stay safe and have fun!

Digital Scrapbooking

I am so excited that on Friday I was given my first opportunity to work on a creative team!  Danimoy is a designer at Scrapbookbytes, Scrappity-Do-Dah and  Scrapbooks Gone Digital, and she was gracious enough to allow me to become a part of her team!  Being on a creative team means I am given the opportunity to use her designs free of charge!  Yippeee!  I'll be sharing some of my layouts that I create with her gorgeous designs!  And of course a link to her goodies!  Hopefully I'll encourage some of you to try digital scrapbooking!
